Win more auctions in Ebay, keep your bids secret, here's how

Monday, November 10th, 2008

A good friend of mine, JM runs a large ebay buy/sell opperaton let me in on an industry secret of his a few weeks ago.  I have been testing the tool on a regular basis since then, and felt it time to share this awesome service with my friends and readers.   The tool is called Auction Sniper  The premise for this tool is that it allows you to place an Ebay bid in the Auction Sniper system, others cannot see it, and then in the last seconds of the auction, Auction Sniper goes into ebay and automatically places the bid.  You set your limit and it will also email you if you are outbid.

Ever get outbid by just pennies, here is the tip for this tool.  Set your max bids at odd numbers like $21.27 or $103.33 it throws off a lot of basic competition.   Don’t waste time waiting for an auction to end.

The huge advantages of Auction Sniper are clear.  No one sees your bid until the last few seconds, its not binding in Ebay and you can cancel it at any time.  Brilliance.  If you want to try it out, follow this link to Auction Sniper and get 3 free snipes.

I’m going to produce a video shortly on how I use it.  Good luck and I hope it increases your wins on Ebay.

How to get more free traffic for your business with Youtube

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Here is a great tip for getting more traffic for your business related videos.   Here is how.  Run some searches in youtube for related products, themes or niches.  Check the top 5 videos and copy the keywords into a word doc.   Strip out the duplicates and add the compressed keyword list to your videos with minor adjustments for your particular videos.   Result of doing this?  Your videos will get picked up in the related searches and you will be given free traffic.   So far the best I have done using this tactic was to drive over 10,000 unique views to 2 videos in less than 48 hours.   I regularly get over a 1000 views in less than a day.   Try it, its a no brainer.   Also sign up for my mailing list.  I have some other great tips and tactics that will get you free traffic in the video search engines.

How to pass the Series 3 Exam – Commodities and Futures Broker Dealer

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I spent all my waking hours studying and conditioning myself to take the series 3 exam.  I failed it the first time, not due to lack of knowledge, but by rushing when I started running out of time.  While I have traded Forex and stocks and know that market cold, the exam is overseen by the Commodities and Futures Board.  It is reported to be the 6th hardest test in the United States.  Changing my strategy for taking the test, I passed the second time with a 91%.  Am I any smarter? No.  I was however, much clearer on what I needed to do to save time and reduce pressure.

Here are the three concrete strategies that will help you pass

1. Go all the way through the test, select B for any answer you don’t know.  Skipping all hard questions. Do not waste any time yet, on these.  I’ll show you why.  On the blank paper provided in the test, draw two columns.

2. As you go along, record each of the questions you skipped in the two columns.  One marked quick, the other marked detailed.  Go through the test and quickly answer all of the questions that you know.  Easy ones, gimmies, quick ones.

3.  It should take you 1 hour to complete the test.  Now you can take the next 2 hours to complete the detailed time consuming math problems.   Also note:  If the question is long and full of smoke, select B and move on.  90% chance it will be B and it was there to waste time and trap you.

I wish you success on your test.

Can a blog help your business? You bet. Here is a good example

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

A good friend of mine Justyna recently launched a blog to help expand her circle of clients and customers.   As a noted expert when it comes to relieving back pain in Toronto, she saw the benefits of putting herself online.  Many small businesses lack this free marketing tool.   If you build it, they will come.  The real secret is to make your blog look as professional as possible and second, to offer real quality content, that relates to your business.  The more your content helps people, the faster your following will grow.   Here is Justyna’s site http://lifestyletherapy.ca/  Even the name is well chosen.    That in itself, is another great tip.  Get a solid domain that relates to your business.

One more tip is to make sure that your blog is optimized for the search engines.  For Wordpress blogs, such as this one that you are reading from,  there is a great widget called the All in One SEO pack.  You can get that at the Wordpress site here

The first step is always the hardest.  Take it and reap the benefits with your own blog.
